Infectious Disease Hospital

The Department of Infectious Diseases at KGMA, established in 1942, has played a key role in advancing medical education and research in Kyrgyzstan. Under the leadership of notable figures like Prof. P.A. Alekseev and Associate Professor V.E. Tyo, the department has trained numerous specialists, contributed to scientific research, and developed protocols for combating infectious diseases. The department continues its work in education and clinical training, publishing textbooks, and earning recognition for its contributions to healthcare, including awards for COVID-19 efforts.
