On Sunday, September 29, several streets in Bishkek will be temporarily closed to accommodate the Snow Leopard Run 2024. The closures are necessary to ensure the safety of participants and facilitate the smooth operation of the event, according to the race organizers.
Event Overview
The Snow Leopard Run, now in its 5th year, is an international charity half marathon aimed at raising awareness for the endangered snow leopard. The event will start at Ala-Too Square and is expected to draw more than 4,500 participants. Runners of all ages can compete in various categories, with distances of 5 km, 14 km, and the official half marathon distance of 21.1 km. There will also be a special children’s race for ages 3 to 13.
